(L to R) Son Robert on horse (Navvie) aided by dad Walter, son John on horse (Dusky) assisted by mother Pat in front of bunkhouses in 1968.  The bunkhouse's sod roofs were taken off in the next year or so, insulated and steel roofs installed.  In 1972, the two furthest bunkhouses were tore down to make room for a trailer.  The cost of renovating the log structures exceeded the cost of replacing them.
