This is the cut list for our club's 30" x 72" straight module prototype. It allows a full 4 inches of foam depth for below the track scenery and enough frame depth to prevent the damaging of wiring and accessories attached to the underside of the modules. The bare module (no legs, no skyboard) weights 30 lbs.
The club members liked the "thick" appearance of the module. This also allows adequate material for the pocket legs to be securely attached.
The plywood is 1/2" and 3/4" Aruco-Ply. This is a void free, 7 (3/4") and 5 (1/2") plywood. Plywood was chosen as it should be more dimensionally stable than dimensional lumber.
